We visited this Thousand Trails Orlando resort, which is a 255-acre property offering daily–monthly rates, a spring-fed fishing lake, 2 pools, and mini-golf. The location is ideal for exploring central Florida, being close to Orlando attractions yet far enough to feel peaceful. The sites were a mix of shaded and open areas, which we appreciated. We also liked the variety of activities available, such as basketball, a pool, playground, and clubhouse. However, we did experience some challenges with the check-in process, which is strictly enforced at noon. The staff was generally friendly, but we had a few negative experiences with some team members being rude. We were surprised to learn that the cleaning staff reported a small issue with garbage, resulting in a $15 charge, which we felt was unnecessary. As Thousand Trails members, we felt that we were at the bottom of the priority list when it came to booking sites. This was frustrating, especially considering the long-term financial commitment we made.Despite these issues, we acknowledge that the resort is well-maintained. The location is excellent, and the amenities are nice. We appreciate the staff's efforts to make our stay enjoyable, particularly Oakie, the gate gentleman who was kind and helpful.Overall, while our experience was not without its challenges, we recognize the resort's potential and the efforts of some staff members to provide a great experience. However, we also want to emphasize the need for Thousand Trails to address the issues of site availability and treatment of long-term members. We recommend this resort to those who are part of the Thousand Trails network and are willing to navigate the challenges that come with it. However, for retail customers or those who hold an annual site, the experience is likely to be much better. We hope that Thousand Trails will take our feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to enhance the overall guest experience.
