This business location, Sunset Beach Motel, has a decent overall score. The quality of the experience is generally mediocre, with a few exceptions. The pricing is a strong point, making it a budget-friendly option for guests. However, the innovativeness of the business is somewhat lacking, failing to keep up with modern amenities and services. The motel's location on the lake is a beautiful aspect, providing stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests appreciate the simplicity and homey feel of the rooms, which are available in various configurations, including some with kitchens. The BBQ grill area is a nice touch, allowing guests to prepare their own meals.Despite the positives, there are several issues that detract from the overall experience. Many guests have reported problems with cleanliness, including stained bedding, dirty floors, and mold. Some rooms have outdated furniture and lack modern amenities, such as TVs, phones, and refrigerators. Additionally, the service has been described as unfriendly and unaccommodating by some guests. One major issue that stands out is the lack of maintenance and upkeep. Guests have reported broken doors, leaky faucets, and electrical issues. Some have even found bed bugs and roaches in their rooms. The management has been accused of being unprofessional and rude, with some guests feeling like they are being treated unfairly. The motel's policies, such as the no-refund policy, have been a point of contention for some guests.Overall, Sunset Beach Motel has the potential to be a pleasant stay for guests who are looking for a simple, affordable option. However, the numerous issues and lack of maintenance and upkeep make it difficult to recommend. With some significant improvements, this motel could become a truly enjoyable experience for guests.
