We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Crystal River. The location is convenient, and the hotel is well-maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a great breakfast spread. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with a particular shout-out to Lacey from breakfast, who made our morning so much brighter with her kindness and enthusiasm.However, there were a few issues that prevented us from giving the hotel a perfect score. First, we had a bit of a problem with the shower in our room, which had a leaky faucet that made a mess on the floor. We also had an issue with the front desk staff, who seemed a bit disorganized and unhelpful at times. Additionally, we found a few bugs in our room, which was a bit of a surprise given the hotel's otherwise clean and well-maintained condition.Overall, we would still recommend the Holiday Inn Express Crystal River to others, but we would caution them to be aware of these issues and to check their room carefully before settling in. With a bit of attention to these details, this hotel could truly be one of the best in the area.One major issue that we experienced was the noise from the rooms above us, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We had mentioned this to the front desk staff, but they seemed to be unaware of the problem and didn't take any action to address it. This was a major disappointment, and we were surprised that the hotel didn't have any policies in place to deal with noise complaints.Another issue that we had was with the cleaning of the rooms. We found that our room was not thoroughly cleaned during our stay, and there were still crumbs and spills on the floor from previous guests. This was a bit of a surprise, given the hotel's otherwise clean and well-maintained condition.We also had an issue with the parking situation at the hotel. The parking lot was small and crowded, and we had to park our car in a spot that was quite a distance from the hotel entrance. This was a bit of a hassle, and we would have preferred to have been able to park closer to the hotel.Despite these issues, we would still recommend the Holiday Inn Express Crystal River to others. The hotel is well-located, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread is great. With a bit of attention to the details, this hotel could truly be one of the best in the area.Overall, we would give the Holiday Inn Express Crystal River a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. While there were a few issues with our stay, we would still recommend the hotel to others and would consider staying there again in the future.
