This location is a hidden gem in Englewood City, offering a unique blend of history, architecture, and community events. The Lemon Bay Historical Society headquarters is situated in a well-restored building, which is one of the oldest structures in the town. The church's simple architectural style fits perfectly with the Old Florida atmosphere of Englewood. The society hosts various events, including lectures by local historians and authors, concerts, and other community activities. These events are a great way to learn about the area's history and culture. The location is easily accessible by car, with a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and entrance. Children are also welcome, making it a great destination for families. However, the building's location has changed over the years, and it is now situated next to the historic Lemon Bay Cemetery. This change may cause some confusion for visitors who are not aware of the current location. Overall, this location is a must-visit for history buffs and those interested in learning about the community.
