I've visited Palm Medical Centers once and my experience was a mixed bag. The practice's location is convenient, situated in Building 2417 of US Hwy 98 N Street in Lakeland City. However, the healthcare services provided are not up to par. The staff seems to prioritize in-house procedures over referrals to external labs, which can delay treatment. This was evident when I had to wait an extra 45 minutes for my appointment, despite arriving 30 minutes early. The facilities are wheelchair accessible, which is a positive aspect. The practice accepts debit cards and credit cards for payments, and appointments are recommended to avoid long wait times. However, the doctor's bedside manner was a letdown. The main doctor, Dr. Gilbert Acevedo Acosta, comes highly recommended by some patients, but his behavior was pushy and uncomfortable during my visit. One major issue I encountered was the pushy behavior of the doctor, who tried to convince me to undergo unnecessary tests without explaining their significance. This lack of transparency made the visit feel invasive and uncomfortable. The practice's responsiveness to patient concerns is also questionable, as I'm still waiting for a follow-up appointment despite requesting one over a week ago.Overall, while Palm Medical Centers has its positive aspects, such as wheelchair accessibility and convenient payment options, the quality of care and doctor-patient relationships fall short of expectations.
