This art and culture location is a true gem. Friendly and knowledgeable staff share the rich history of Cortez, making it a great place for kids. The building is wheelchair accessible, and there's ample parking available. One of my favorite things about this location is the live performances, which add to the overall atmosphere. The location itself is easy to navigate, and the restroom and amenities are well-maintained. The surrounding area is quiet, which allows visitors to fully absorb the information and exhibits. The variety of exhibits and artifacts is impressive, providing a unique look at the community's past. It's clear that the staff is passionate about preserving the history of Cortez, and this shines through in the way the exhibits are presented. There's a great walking path and bridge connecting the culture center to the maritime museum, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, this location is a must-visit for anyone interested in history and culture. However, the location seems to have some inconsistent hours, with long gaps between open days. This might make it difficult for some visitors to plan a visit.
