Adult Education in St. Petersburg

Build Skills. Earn Credentials. Move Forward.

Find Your Next Learning Opportunity

Explore Clearview Adult Education Center’s programs for finishing high school, improving English and academic skills, preparing for technology careers, and reaching personal and professional goals.
Adult Credit Recovery helps eligible former Pinellas County School students, generally age 16 and older, complete only the high school courses they still need for a standard diploma. Clearview evaluates past transcripts, preserves previously earned credits, and provides a self-paced, mastery-based curriculum. Students meet with a coordinator first to establish eligibility, then work toward completing missing credits in a focused adult learning environment.
Clearview’s ESOL program helps adult students at different English levels improve communication and build the language skills needed for work, education, and daily life. Students take an initial skills test and attend orientation before placement, with day, evening, open computer lab, and qualifying online options available. Support may also help learners strengthen basic skills before entering vocational training or university.
The GOALS program—Growing Opportunities for Achievement in Learning Success—is designed for ESOL students who want to work toward the GED or move into the next stage of their career plan. Clearview uses this focused pathway to connect English-language development with broader academic and employment goals. Academic requirements apply, and administrative approval is required before enrollment.

GED Preparation

Academic Skills Building

Academic Skills Building is a non-credit program for adults who want to strengthen the literacy and math abilities needed in everyday life, the workplace, and family responsibilities. Clearview provides a supportive learning environment for students who may need foundational practice before pursuing additional education, career training, or other adult learning goals. Tuition fees apply, and prospective students can call for enrollment information.

Computer Systems & Information Technology Program

Clearview hosts the Computer Systems & Information Technology Integrated Education and Training program in partnership with Pinellas Technical College. Students develop practical skills using Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux software while learning computer repair, configuration, and troubleshooting. The program can combine IT standards with GED or ESOL support, and qualified students may have opportunities to pursue CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications.

Beginner and Conversational Spanish Classes

Clearview offers beginner and conversational Spanish classes as an additional adult learning opportunity for students who want to develop practical Spanish communication skills. The program is suitable for learners starting from the basics or seeking more confidence in everyday conversation. Current availability may depend on community need and term offerings, so prospective students should contact the center for class details, schedules, and enrollment information.

Career Clinic

Clearview’s Career Clinic is an adult education support option for learners who want help connecting education with career direction. The clinic can serve as a starting point for discussing goals, identifying an appropriate program, and considering next steps such as GED completion, technical training, English development, or other workforce preparation. Contact the center to confirm current availability and appointment details.
