This church has a rich history dating back to 1906 when it was built by Will Heacock and Tom Jordan on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Blocker. The pioneer congregation was relocated here from Mt. Olive Church due to its proximity to town. Despite the decline of the lumber and turpentine industries, the congregation still has many members who are kinfolk of the original settlers.The church is wheelchair accessible with ramps leading to the restroom, parking lot, and entrance. This makes it easy for everyone to attend services. The working hours are limited, but the church is open on Sundays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.The community around the church is tight-knit, with many members helping each other out. The pastor is described as sweet and gives sensible sermons, which is a welcome change from the loud and aggressive services at larger churches.One notable thing that could be improved is the church's hours of operation. While it is open on Sundays, it is closed during the week, which may not be convenient for those who want to visit or attend services during the week.
