Monumental Sounds: Pictures at an Exhibition & Music from Gladiator

Get ready for a powerful morning of orchestral music as conductor Chelsea Gallo leads The Florida Orchestra through a program packed with bold melodies and unforgettable musical moments. From the lively spirit of A Salute to the Big Apple to the sweeping cinematic sounds of Hans Zimmer’s music from Gladiator, this concert brings a larger-than-life energy to the stage.

The program also features selections from Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, building toward the majestic “The Great Gate of Kiev,” a piece known for its grand, dramatic sound. For a delightful change of pace, TFO violinist Eugeniu Cheremoush takes center stage for Franz Schubert’s Rondo in A Major, offering a graceful, sparkling contrast to the concert’s monumental works.

With a mix of cinematic drama, orchestral power, and elegant charm, this performance promises a memorable musical experience that resonates long after the final note.
