Meteor Shower at American Stage

Written by Steve Martin | Directed by Anthony Gervais

Get ready for a dinner party that’s truly out of this world! Written by legendary comedian Steve Martin, Meteor Shower is a delightfully unpredictable comedy where awkward encounters, unexpected twists, and cosmic chaos collide.

One Night. Two Couples. Total Chaos.

Norm and Corky invite their new acquaintances, Gerald and Laura, over for dinner to watch a spectacular meteor shower - a rare celestial event that promises to make the evening unforgettable.

But their guests turn out to be anything but predictable. As the drinks keep flowing and the meteors light up the sky, strange conversations and increasingly bizarre behavior turn a seemingly ordinary dinner party into a hilariously surreal experience.

Before long, social niceties go out the window, reality starts to feel a little shaky, and the night takes one absurd turn after another.

Blending sharp wit with offbeat humor and a touch of cosmic weirdness, Meteor Shower explores marriage, attraction, desire, and the mysterious forces that bring people together — or drive them apart.

Bold, clever, and wonderfully bizarre, this is Steve Martin comedy at its most unpredictable.

Age recommendation: 16+ due to mature language and adult themes.
