K-Bar Ranch Seedling Tree Planting

Join Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, the City of Tampa Parks & Recreation Department, and the Tampa Green Team for a community tree-planting day at K-Bar Ranch! Together, we'll plant 3,500 native tree seedlings to help expand Tampa's urban forest, improve local wildlife habitats, and protect water quality for future generations.

Volunteer Details

* Check-in starts at 7:30 AM (event setup begins at 7:00 AM).
* No experience? No problem! Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome.
* You'll work in teams of three alongside City staff, Green Team members, and KTBB volunteers.
* Trees will be planted using easy-to-use dibble tools, and all equipment and supplies will be provided.

Why We Need You

This is one of the area's biggest one-day tree-planting events, and we need at least 75 volunteers to make it happen. If you register, please be sure you can attend - every helping hand counts!

What to Bring

* Closed-toe shoes (required)
* Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty
* A reusable water bottle
* Hat, sunscreen, and other sun protection
* Be ready for Florida heat and bugs

On-Site Amenities

We'll have water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, shade tents, and portable restrooms available throughout the event. Be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks whenever needed.

Before You Go

The planting site is in a remote part of New Tampa with limited facilities, so come prepared for a morning of outdoor work. Your time and effort will make a lasting impact on Tampa's environment.
