Looking for a classic Tampa Bay Fourth of July experience? Head to the Tampa Riverwalk for a full day of patriotic fun on the water, including the annual July 4th Boat Parade, a thrilling water ski show, the Blessing of the Fleet, and a fireworks display to cap off the evening.
Hosted by Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk in partnership with the City of Tampa's Liberty by the Bay celebration, this popular event draws thousands of spectators each year. The 2026 theme celebrates America 250, honoring 250 years of the nation's history, independence, and enduring spirit.
Boats decked out in red, white, and blue will cruise through downtown Tampa, competing for patriotic awards while spectators gather along the Riverwalk and at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park for the best views. Before the parade begins, visitors can enjoy a high-energy water ski show and a special Blessing of the Fleet ceremony.
Boaters who register for the parade will receive exclusive perks, including access to the Captain's Party, a commemorative swag bag, official registration materials, a participant pennant flag, and the opportunity to compete for the coveted Most Patriotic Trophy and other prizes.
Whether you're watching from shore or taking part in the parade itself, this waterfront celebration is one of Tampa's favorite ways to spend Independence Day.
