Hanging Suncatcher - Butterfly

Add a little color and charm to your home or garden with a beautiful glass butterfly suncatcher! This beginner-friendly, one-hour weekend class is a fun way to get introduced to the art of leaded glass and create your own decorative piece. Advance registration is required. Please wear closed-toe shoes to class.

Meet Your Instructor

MAACM's glassmaking classes are led by Master Craftsman Carlos Velasco, whose passion for working with glass runs deep in his family. His grandfather, José Velasco, was born in Spain in 1911 and later moved to Colombia, where he founded Casa Velasco, a successful family-run glass business. Carlos began his apprenticeship there at just 14 years old!

Since then, he's worked on numerous restoration projects involving significant works of art in both private collections and public spaces, sharing his expertise through projects at home and around the world.
