This park has a lot of potential, but it's unfortunately not living up to it. The quality of the trails and amenities is average, with some nice areas to picnic and birdwatch, but also some areas that are in disrepair and poorly maintained. The boardwalks are closed, and the trails are sometimes hard to follow. The parking lot is wheelchair accessible, and dogs are allowed, which is a plus. However, the park is also near a waste processing facility, which creates a strong smell and makes the area feel a bit unsavory. The park is also a hotspot for some not-so-safe activities, making it not suitable for a family visit. The park is generally free to enter and is a good place to explore for those looking for a more laid-back and off-the-beaten-path experience. It's a shame that this park isn't getting the attention and maintenance it needs to be a great destination for everyone.
